Rituals

Vestre Toten, Norway

2024

RITUALS is our winning proposal for Tankeplasser, the series of art installations along the Norwegian pilgrimage route.

Created as a gift to those who walk across Norway, the work invites pilgrims to pause and engage in simple, timeless gestures. Lighting a fire, washing with water, reconnecting with the elements.

Two installations embody this: a hillside fireplace, built collectively with the rammed earth technique, and a lakeside water sieve of brass and stone, offering clear water to all who pass.

Idea: Rituals
