A few words about Dan Zohar

I was born in Oslo, but spent my childhood in Australia and Singapore. At the age of 16 I returned to Oslo with my family, learned Norwegian, tried my hand at cross country skiing and discovered the joys of the norwegian ”hytte-tur” - wonderful weekends spent in small cabins in the middle of nowhere.

I studied architecture at AHO including a year of urban planning at NTH (NTNU), graduating in 1993. After school I worked in Oslo and then London and gained firsthand experience of the breadth of approaches to architecture. On returning from London in 2001 I joined Narud Stokke Wiig where I worked on a wide range of projects, mostly fairly large scale.

For me architecture that is inspired by nature and that respects and relates to it’s surroundings both conceptually and in its materiality has always had a special appeal.
