Design Without Borders
DogA, Oslo Norway
2012
Norsk Form’s international programme Design without Borders has for more than ten years developed products for and with developing countries and connected designers from the South with Norwegian companies.
Mine clearing equipment, life vest for fishermen in Africa, wheelchairs for children in Guatemala and computers for young people in Ugandan villages. In the exhibition, those products, work methods, and results are presented to the public for the first time. Through interactive installations, videos, and pictures, the exhibition illustrates how designers contribute to social change.
